About Me

I am a growing Christian, passionate about the pursuit of God and an authentic Christian life. Born again since 2004, I only began to feel that my walk with God was getting on track around 2016. Not that I always lived in blatant sin. The first decade of my life as a Christian was unfortunately filled with the burden of legalism and erroneous teachings, which made a consistent victorious walk a dream impossible to achieve.

I’ve loved to write for a long time, but it’s only later in life that I saw my talent as a ministry tool. That’s why I started this blog, to give my talent back to the God who gave it to me. I write Christian fiction and nonfiction to encourage, inspire, and teach. Topics very close to my heart include intimacy with God, prayer, and issues Christian singles deal with (maybe because I’m still single🤷‍♀️).

I hold a Bachelor of Pastoral Ministry from Teleo University, Minneapolis, Minnesota (distance learning, graduated December 2021). Besides writing for ministry, I am a work-from-home digital marketer specializing in SEO, content writing, and content management. Want me to handle your website content? Hit my inbox!

I am Cameroonian living in Bamenda, Cameroon.

What I Believe as a Christian

I am a Reformed Pentecostal. I take the Bible as the infallible word of God, without inaccuracy in the original manuscripts, the believer’s final authority in matters of faith and practice (2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 3:16), but I reject the lifeless orthodoxy of the Reformed Camp. Then, while willing to die for the conviction that spiritual gifts continue till Christ returns, I find the greed for money and fame, the disregard for biblical theology, the shallow sermons, and the emotionally charged stage shows characteristic of modern Pentecostalism very God-dishonoring. I believe the Holy Spirit imparts His gifts on believers in Christ for evangelism and the building up of the saints, all to the glory of God, not man.

That intro aside, here’s in detail my foundational beliefs.

The Bible is the Written Word of God

I believe the Bible (66 books, Old and New Testaments) is the Word of God, inspired by God, and without error in the original manuscripts. Men inspired by the Holy Spirit wrote the different books of the Bible. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our lives today. Scripture is totally sufficient for faith and practice and must not be added to, superseded, or changed by tradition, extra-biblical revelation, or worldly wisdom. Every creed or theology must be put to the test of the full truth given in the Holy Scripture.

The Trinity

I believe there is one God who is eternal, sovereign, and perfect in holiness, truth, and love. God exists as the Godhead, made of three distinct Persons–Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-existent and co-eternal. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is not the Father, but God is one.

The Gospel

I believe that the Gospel, which is the good news and power of God’s salvation for those who believe, is all about His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice to God for the sins of humanity to satisfy the holy justice and wrath of God. He rose from the death on the third day to justify man before God. He is the only way to salvation, for there’s no other name under heaven given among men by which we can be saved. Even though Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, only those who put faith in Him receive God’s gracious gift of salvation.  Those who believe the Gospel and profess genuine faith in Jesus Christ as Savior become new creatures and show evidence of this new life by a life of increasing obedience to God, even though perfection will never be attained in this life.

The Church

I believe that once a person places his or her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, he or she becomes a part of the Body of Christ, the one universal Church, with Jesus Christ as the Head. The Church is not a denomination and not religious buildings. The Church comprises those who have believed the Gospel and have become genuine followers of Jesus Christ. Although the Church is not a building, the Bible commands believers to gather locally for fellowship, worship, prayer, teaching of the Word, sacraments, and outreach to fulfil the Great Commission. These local gatherings of believers, under instituted elderships, are local expressions of The Church.

End Times/The Future

I believe in the visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ as King, at which time there will be the bodily resurrection of the saved dead and the instant glorification of the saved who are still living, to meet the returning King in the air. There will be a latter bodily resurrection of the lost to judgment and eternal wrath in hell along with Satan and all his demons while the saved will enjoy eternal joy in the new heaven and new earth in the presence of God. When the saved enter their eternal joy, creation too will be redeemed and the whole earth will proclaim the glory of God.

My Kind of Books

Have I already said I am an avid reader? Oh, I didn’t (explicitly)? Okay, I am a ferocious reader.

For nonfiction: I love books on theology, prayer, intimacy with God, just any book that will challenge me to love God more and be a better believer in Christ and witness to my neighbors and the world.

For nonfiction: Victorian literature is my fixation. I crave the depth of writing typical of Jane Austen and the Bronte Sisters.

Other Hobbies

I love gardening but unfortunately live in a town without farmland 😓. Listening to music is another favorite. I have no favorite genre, but as long as a piece of Christian music lives up to standard in terms of right doctrine, great sound, and artistic excellence, I’ll enjoy it until my player begs for rest.
